Teds expertise can be summarised as follows:

Consulting -Requirements Analysis and Design

  • Extensive knowledge and application in requirements analysis and design. This expertise has been gained in numerous roles as a Consultant and Manager with Coopers & Lybrand, independent consultant and Senior Consultant with the NZ State Services Commission and WA State Treasury.
  • Extensive experience in capturing requirements for financial applications and the review of specifications against packaged software.
  • Substantial experience in developing requirements in multi-disciplined environments

Problem Solving, Communication and Interpersonal Skills

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills through role as a consultant conducting IT reviews and working with all levels of management and personnel within organisations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability in managing team based application development and information technology reviews. Proven ability to work independently or as part of a team. Extensive project management experience.
  • Strong analytical, interpersonal and communication skills. Extensive experience at writing IT information reviews and technical documentation including functional and technical specifications, project scope documents, implementation plans, board reports and presentations.

Career History:

2006: Department Education Service. Requirements Analysis for business applications and strategic plan for future It infrastructure and deployment. Prepare and publish tender document for each application. Review outsourcing arrangement Training Accreditation Application.

2004: Present Warehouse System (3PL) New Zealand. Conducted a review of the third-party warehouse Business to Business(B2B and EDI options. Managed, tested, implemented B2B application and a client virtual warehouse application. Designed, tested and implemented Proof of Delivery application. Reviewed manufacturing system and B2B options.

2001: Resolve FM. Analysed existing Facilities Management System and built new functionality to meet new government requirements.

2000: Mining Application. Managed the SLDC for an underground mining system encompassing drilling, trucking, manpower

1999-2000: Timekeeping System. Managed and implemented web based timesheet application. Developed test plans, built test environment.

1998-99: Consulting (BankWest). Consultant in the Y2K process for the bank's mid-range systems and applications. These areas covered Financial Markets, Consumer Finance, Information Systems, Human Resources, Premises, Accounting, Internet Banking Also provided input to the mainframe application environment. This area covers the bank's internet banking system and my involvement covered the overall management of the testing of the hardware and software infrastructure

1997: Gas Transmission Australia. Managed the building of an application to gather gas site data for billing. Managed the rollout of a time keeping system for the capture of project data.
