Martin Forsberg is an Associate Director of Document Engineering Services, an international consortium of experts supporting universal business interoperability through the use of open standards.

Martin was an active participant in the development of UBL (OASIS Universal Business Language) version 2.0. He is also a member of UN/CEFACT TBG1 (Trade & Business Processes Group 1 with responsibility for supply chain processes and messages). Martin was the editor of NES (Northern European Subset of UBL) and is currently chair of working group 2 in the CEN/ISSS WS BII (Business Interface Interoperability). WG2 works with the convergence of UBL and UN/CEFACT business messages.

Martin has for the last seven years been a consultant for the Swedish public sector where he is a member of the technical secretariat of SFTI (Single Face To Industry), responsible for recommending, and where necessary, developing standards to the public sector.


Projects:

2002-: Single Face To Industry, Public Sector Sweden. Contracted as expert on xml standards, infrastructure and security related questions. The responsibilities and tasks, as a member of the technical secretariat, includes defining profiles using UBL and EDIFACT, supporting users of the standards and performing trainings related to e-commerce and e-invoicing.

2005-: Public Sector Representative in the Swedish UN/CEFACT delegation. Member of TBG1 and ATG2 in UN/CEFACT as a representative from the Swedish public sector. This assignment includes the role of project leader of the development of XML-based order process.

2004-: Standards Advisor. Advisor in standards related question to the Swedish Customs, The Swedish National Financial Management Authority and The Swedish Administrative Development Agency

2006: Standards developer GS1 Sweden Advisor in the migration of specifications and documentation from a custom build repository to the commercial tool Gefeg.FX.

2005: Review of System Architecture. Performed a system architecture review for Fortum (public listed energy company, which focuses on the Nordic and Baltic countries) focusing on SOA and security.

2001–2005: System development. Architect and developer in SkandiaBanken (Swedish Internet Bank), involved in the implementation of platform using xml and web services and PKI.
